Tim Wolf named editor in chief of occupational therapy journal

Feb. 5, 2021 Tim Wolf, an associate professor and chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy in the School of Health Professions, was recently named editor in chief of OTJR: Occupation, Participation, and Health. The international, peer-reviewed journal is one of the top journals in the field of occupational therapy and offers empirical and review articles. “I look forward to continuing on the work Dr. Classen [previous editor in chief] and the editorial board have completed as we continue to pursue our vision to be the top journal in occupational therapy,” Wolf said.

School of Social Work earns reaccreditation until 2028

Congratulations to the MU School of Social Work, which earned reaccreditation for its Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work programs until 2028. The School of Social Work has been continually accredited by the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE) since 1919. Graduation from a CSWE accredited program is required for a social work license at the bachelors and masters level. Mizzou Social Work graduates have a higher-than-average pass rate on credentialing exams, as well. Each school and college at the University of Missouri determines its own dean’s list eligibility for undergraduate students. Students who had privacy holds in MyZou are excluded from public lists. Jan. 15, 2021 Kerri Nowell, assistant clinical professor in the Department of Health Psychology and a pediatric clinical psychologist at the MU Thompson Center, together with colleagues Stephen Kanne, Cynthia Brown and Courtney Jorgenson, developed the survey for caregivers of youth with autism to assess various special interests they may have and determine if those special interests were interfering with the child’s development.
