Program overview
The Master of Public Health emphasis in Health Promotion and Policy prepares graduate students for careers in epidemiology, environmental health, social and behavioral health, or health promotion. You will gain the knowledge and skills needed to confront public health issues—from maternal and child health, vaccine programs, substance use disorder programs, to aging populations—through critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to understanding the needs of different communities. Students have secured careers doing field work in nutrition and health, policy and planning, health care quality and practice, emergency medical services program management, or pursued additional study as a doctoral student, nurse or dental hygienist.
