School of Health Professions receives more than $400,000 to enhance student success
The School of Health Professions received six grants totaling $402,445 from the University of Missouri President’s “Enhancing Student Success at Mizzou” program. This funding will be used mostly to update technology and equipment in our clinical teaching labs. Fall 2021 tailgate registration available
Aug. 24, 2021 The School of Health Professions is pleased to invite alumni and friends to our Fall 2021 tailgate Saturday, Oct. 16. Join us for food, games and family fun! Then head to Faurot Field to watch the Tigers take on the Texas A&M Aggies. Please register in advance so we can make sure to have enough food and space for everyone. The tailgate will begin 3 hours before kick-off. Activities and refreshments will be available in the Lewis and Clark outdoor courtyard area, which is also home to our new Inclusive Playground. Campus safety protocols will be followed.

Tim Wolf selected to be next Associate Dean for Research
June 1, 2021 (Updated Oct. 22, 2021) Tim Wolf, professor and chair of the Department of Occupational Therapy, has been selected to serve as Associate Dean for Research starting Oct. 1, 2021. The few months’ overlap in titles with Judith Goodman, who will retire after the Fall 2021 semester, will facilitate a smooth transition of responsibilities and continued momentum in research activities. Through restructuring of responsibilities in the Department of Occupational Therapy, Dr. Wolf will also continue to serve as chair of the department. “Dr. Wolf is an accomplished scientist with a robust and meaningful research program,” Dean Kristofer Hagglund said.

Todd Pridemore named Director of Advancement
The School of Health Professions is pleased to welcome Todd Pridemore as the school’s director of advancement starting May 17. Pridemore joined Mizzou in 2018 as a gift planning and regional advancement officer and was promoted to director of advancement for MU Health Care in 2020. His previous fundraising experience includes the Baptist Home and the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. Cheri Ghan creates scholarship fund for student ambassadors
If you’re struggling to believe in yourself, you always have one person in your corner: Cheri Ghan. A former journalist, Ghan came to Mizzou in 2006. Originally hired to manage communication for the School of Health Professions, she now leads student recruitment efforts for the school.
