Jenna Wintemberg, PhD, MPH, CHES, has been named associate dean for undergraduate studies in the Mizzou College of Health Sciences, effective July 1. She currently serves as an associate teaching professor with joint appointments in the departments of Health Sciences and Public Health.

“Dr. Wintemberg brings a breadth of experience that makes her well-suited for this role,” said Dean Stephanie Reid-Arndt. “She understands how to support both large and smaller programs, and she is a strong strategic thinker who excels at turning ideas into action. Her collaborative approach and strong relationships across campus will be invaluable as we continue improving the undergraduate student experience.”

Wintemberg most recently directed three degree programs in the College of Health Sciences: the BHS in Health Science, the BHS in Public Health and the Master of Public Health. She holds affiliate faculty appointments with the Honors College and Novak Institute and has served on multiple campus committees, including the Mizzou 101/First Year Experience Committee, the Writing Center advisory board and the Campus Writing Program board.

As associate dean for undergraduate studies, Wintemberg will oversee the college’s student services offices, including recruitment, advising, access and scholars initiatives, and career services. She will work across the college and with campus partners to improve the student experience and post-graduate outcomes.

“I’m honored to serve the college in this role,” Wintemberg said. “I’m excited to work with our student services teams, program directors and campus partners to better support students, stay connected across teams and create opportunities for all undergraduates to succeed.”

Since joining Mizzou in 2015, Wintemberg has received numerous accolades, including the 2026 Kemper Fellowship for Teaching Excellence, College of Health Sciences Excellence in Education Award and Missouri Telehealth Network ECHO Champion Award. She is a three-time Mizzou alumna, having earned a PhD in health education and promotion, master’s degree in public health, and bachelor’s degree in psychology.
