Respiratory Therapy receives elite Apex Recognition Award

Congratulations to our Respiratory Therapy programs, which received the Apex Recognition Award from the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). Mizzou operates bachelor’s degree programs with an emphasis in respiratory therapy in Columbia and at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. March 17, 2021 The Department of Physical Therapy is proud to highlight the scholarly activity of Mizzou DPT faculty, clinical partners, and students at the 2021 Combined Section Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Impressively, the department had over a dozen presentations, offered virtually, at the profession’s largest annual event. Cheri Ghan creates scholarship fund for student ambassadors

If you’re struggling to believe in yourself, you always have one person in your corner: Cheri Ghan. A former journalist, Ghan came to Mizzou in 2006. Originally hired to manage communication for the School of Health Professions, she now leads student recruitment efforts for the school. Congratulations to Caleigh Achim, a Health Sciences major who was named Intern of the Week at Sprekk Supply Group (SSG)! Tori Specketer represents SLHS as grad student board member

Feb. 26, 2020 Victoria (Tori) Specketer, MHS student in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, has been selected as the next Missouri Speech-Language Hearing Association (MSHA) graduate student board member. Specketer will start this executive board position on Aug. 1, 2021. The graduate student board member advocates for speech-language pathology and audiology students in Missouri.
