Identification and treatment of anxiety and depression

John Golden is a Certified Behavioral Health Consultant with University of Missouri. He has experience working with FQHC’s, as well as academic health institutions in expanding the utilization and receptivity towards integrating behavioral health care in a primary care setting. Currently, he provides short term visits within MU’s primary care clinics. The BHC position includes interdisciplinary collaboration and promotion of increased behavioral health knowledge with medical team members. John has experience in training health care teams to recognize symptoms of mental health and how to appropriately refer patients to BHCs or other resources as needed. Target Audience: This training is designed for non-mental health interdisciplinary team members, such as RNs, LPNs, & others interested in enhancing their understanding of and competence in identifying and treating anxiety and depression.
