A total of 1,632 Health Sciences students made the spring 2023 dean’s list. To qualify for the dean’s list in the College of Health Sciences, a student must earn a 3.30 GPA in a minimum of 12 graded (A-F) credit hours.

Camp Catch-Ya-Breath for children with asthma
Camp Catch-Ya-Breath is a free weekend camp that empowers children ages 7-13 to learn how to obtain control of their asthma. The camp is co-hosted by the University of Missouri Respiratory Therapy program and Washington County Memorial Hospital. At Camp Catch-Ya-Breath, children with asthma learn the importance and benefits of asthma medication while participating in fun activities like swimming, hiking and crafts. Programs give science club members a glimpse into health professions
Respiratory Therapy demonstration On March 4, representatives with several School of Health Professions programs came together to host a hands-on session for the CALEB Science Club. Attendees were able to learn about and participate in five different career paths in the health professions field: diagnostic medical ultrasound, nuclear medicine, occupational therapy, radiography and respiratory therapy. CALEB Science Club participants learned what a diagnostic medical ultrasound is and how it can be used to image various parts of patients’ bodies, including the heart, abdominal organs, muscles and tendons. The Mizzou Respiratory Therapy program has been recognized among the best in the nation. The program has received several competitive awards, including the American Association for Respiratory Care’s (AARC) elite Apex Award for 2023–24.
